Overview

Provider-Priced Jobs give you more control over how jobs are priced — helping ensure you’re paid fairly for the actual work required.

This job type is designed for situations where the scope of work isn’t fully clear upfront. Instead of accepting a fixed price, you’ll now be able to set your own price after seeing the job on-site — up to the Not To Exceed (NTE) amount listed on the job.

All pricing submitted on Provider-Priced Jobs is subject to review and approval to ensure fairness and consistency across the marketplace.

🎯 Why We Introduced Provider-Priced Jobs

We know it can be frustrating when:

  • The job scope and price don’t match once you arrive on-site, or

  • You choose not to take a job because the pricing doesn’t reflect the possible effort.

Provider-Priced Jobs were built to improve your experience by:

  • Giving you flexibility to adjust pricing based on what you see on-site

  • Helping ensure accurate, fair pay for the work completed

  • Creating greater transparency for property managers and providers alike

⚙️ How It Works

  1. Accept a Provider-Priced Job

    • These jobs are clearly labeled in the app.

    • Each includes a Not To Exceed (NTE) amount — the highest total you can propose without additional approval.

  2. Arrive On-Site and Review the Work

    • Assess the full scope, time, and materials required.

  3. Enter Your Price when Closing the job

    • Submit your proposed price directly in the app before completing the job.

    • You can price up to the NTE, but pricing should always reflect the actual work completed.

  4. Approval Process

    • Your submitted price will be reviewed by our team to confirm it aligns with the work performed.

    • In some cases, adjustments may be requested before final payment is approved.

  5. Need to Go Over the NTE?

    • If the job requires more work than expected, submit an NTE increase request for approval directly in the app.

🧩 Example

You arrive for a Drywall job with an NTE of $250.

  • You assess the repair and determine it is only a $100 repair, under the NTE.

  • You complete the work and submit the pricing when closing the job.

  • Your price is reviewed and approved before payment is processed.

  • If you assess the repair and it will be greater than the NTE, you’d submit a NTE increase request for approval.

✅ Benefits for Providers

  • More control over how work is priced

  • Fair pay for the true scope of work

  • Confidence when accepting jobs with unclear details

  • Transparent approvals to keep pricing consistent and trusted

⚠️ Important Notes

  • The NTE limit still applies to all Provider-Priced Jobs.

  • Pricing is subject to review and approval by Lula and property managers.

  • Prices should always reflect the actual scope, materials, and effort required.

  • We monitor pricing trends to ensure fairness and transparency across the marketplace.

  • The Lula Fee still applies to provider-priced jobs.
