Insurance Requirements

Details around the COI requirements for Lula Pros

Written by Josh

We require every Pro on our platform to carry updated general liability insurance. When you request a COI (certificate of insurance), please make sure that it matches the following:

Business General Liability Insurance Coverage Requirement

Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance on an occurrence basis with limits of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 general aggregate. Coverage must include premises-operations, products-completed operations, contractual liability, personal and advertising injury, and independent contractors.

Providers are required to submit a copy of their certificate of liability insurance (ACORD form). All providers are required to list Lula as a certificate holder.

COI Holder Information:

Lula, Smarter Property Maintenance Inc.

7285 W 132nd St.

Suite 150

Overland Park, KS, 66213

Ongoing Insurance Compliance

Lula reviews insurance certificates received and tracks policy expiration dates. Providers receive a 30-day notice before their policy expires. If a new certificate is not provided by the expiration date, providers are automatically placed on hold. A hold is a temporary status that prevents providers from receiving new work but does not permanently remove them from the platform. Compliance-related holds will only be lifted once updated documentation is received.

If you don't have insurance, you can get a quote for a policy through our partner at FoxQuilt. You can reach them at 888-878-4588 or sales-us@foxquilt.com for your quote.
