Starting March 2, 2026 Lula's New Payment Process

We’re updating our payment processor and moving from InvoicePath to Invoiced, a company owned by Flywire. This change is designed to improve invoice clarity, make it easier to manage multiple invoices, and streamline how payments are made — without disrupting how you receive your invoices.

We understand we recently switched from Freshbooks to InvoicePath. Based on your feedback and our own experience, we've made the decision to move away from Invoice Path and transition to a new invoicing platform called Invoiced.

Invoiced is a more powerful and reliable platform that resolves the issues some of you flagged. We've been testing it thoroughly and are confident Invoiced delivers the experience that will meet your expectations as well as ours.

Below is a breakdown of what’s changing (and what’s not), based on how you currently receive invoices from Lula.


What’s Not Changing

  • Your pricing is not changing

  • The way invoices are delivered to you is largely staying the same

  • You may continue to manually submit ACH payments and remittance information if you prefer

  • Your Lula Customer Portal for work order history/status

Using the Invoiced payment portal is optional. It is available to make paying invoices easier, reduce manual steps, and eliminate the need to separately submit remittances — but it is not required.


Customers Who Receive Invoices by Email

If you currently receive invoices directly via email, here’s what to expect:

What’s Changing

  • Invoice emails will now come from Invoiced instead of FreshBooks or InvoicePath

  • The payment link in the email will direct you to Invoiced

  • The payment portal will be hosted by Invoiced and not Freshbooks or InvoicePath

  • In your Lula Customer Portal, the Invoices page will now take you directly to Invoiced

How You’ll Pay

  1. Open the invoice email from Invoiced

  2. Click the payment link in the email

  3. From that page, you’ll have the option to click "View Invoice" to log in to the payment portal

In the Payment Portal You Can:

  • View all outstanding invoices

  • Pay one or multiple invoices at once

  • See payment status and invoice details

  • See all past payments

  • Save payment methods for future use, including:

    • ACH / bank transfer

    • Credit cards

Saved payment methods can be securely reused for future invoice payments, reducing the need to re-enter payment information each time.

Access note: The email address listed as the Property Managers and Accounting Contacts on your Lula account will be able to log in via a secure link sent to their email and access the payment portal. If an employee loses access to their company email they will no longer have access to the payment portal.


Customers Who Receive Invoices Through Their Property Management System (PMS)

If your invoices are delivered as PDFs inside your Property Management System (such as AppFolio, Buildium, or similar):

What’s Changing

  • Invoice delivery is not changing — you’ll continue receiving invoices as PDFs in your PMS

  • The invoice PDF will now include a link to the payment portal, which will be through our new payment processor Invoiced instead of Freshbooks or InvoicePath

  • If you choose to send payment outside of the portal, you must submit manual remittances to payments@lula.life

How You’ll Pay

  1. Open the invoice PDF in your PMS

  2. Click the payment portal link included on the invoice

  3. Enter your email address

  4. You’ll receive a one-time login link via email

  5. Enter the login code to access your payment portal

From there, you’ll be able to view and pay outstanding invoices just as described above.


Additional Invoice Improvements: Greater Transparency

As part of this update, we’re also improving the invoice format to provide greater clarity and transparency.

What’s Included

  • Materials and labor breakdown on every invoice

  • Quoted work will include full approved task itemization breaking down every item completed and being billed for

This ensures you have complete visibility into every charge and confidence in what you’re approving and paying.


Who Can Access the Payment Portal

  • The accounting email listed on your Lula customer account,

  • Each login uses a secure, one-time link (no password required)

This ensures easy access while maintaining security across your team. To add additional people in the company to your payment portal, contact "payments@lula.life".
